(in english in the end) Esta história tenho de contar.
Espanha-Portugal (3-2). Gostava de destacar dois, entre muitos: o
surgimento do Manuel Meirinho.
espanhol Álvaro (mortífero no serviço, potente e inteligente no ataque,
No final, a imagem documenta-o.
As
As
percamos a noção do ridículo. O que aqui lêem é só a festa de um pai
orgulhoso. Não acho que isto seja o máximo. É só bonito. Como amante do
voleibol, agradeço a estes craques o espectáculo que me ofereceram. E
ainda nem 18 anos têm. Ps: alguém identifique o Manel Meirinho aqui,
This story I have to tell. Álvaro Gímeno and Guilherme Moreira, the best absolute scorers of the Torneo Navidad 2016, Álvaro with almost 4 sets only to his account, Gui with almost 3. For those who like volleyball, volleyball seriously, and know that it is not about victory and defeat, but on small private stories and great public duels, know we watched several on the night of the second Spain-Portugal (3-2). I would like to highlight two, among many: the appearance of Manuel Meirinho. For a kid who came from scratch as a volleyball player two years ago, it was remarkable the claw and the effort of overcoming in this game - in the 5th and final set, he drawed the game alone, recovering from 0-3 to 3-3 (some kill blocks and spikes at one meter and those "ronaldian" war cries that mobilized the all team - "siiiiiiiiim" (yes!) and "eu estou aqui!" (I am here!)).. The other was this, between the fantastic player who the spaniard Álvaro already is (deadly in the service, powerful and intelligent in the attack, effective in the block, anyway, everything, and we ask he is kept like this :)) and the aspiring ace to be so good as he, the gentleman of honor :), my Gui. Álvaro won, but the most beautiful was the fight, particularly the way Guilherme was shining to receive those deadly services. At the end, the image documents it. It is not a banal compliment in the net:

the sincere smiles, the affectionate hand shake,
the respect, and, I am sure, a principle of friendship. I have no
illusions: I know very well that most people, even our friends, do not
deal with the visibility or fallible concept of success, a concept I
have always hated. Things may even happen and be shown up there, in the
absolute, but these two boys were where everyone was and Manel was two
years ago: at first, at zero absolute. And they worked hard to get here - and resist inside the court.
It is where many who can get here and further are. Their achievements
can and should be counted as long as we do not lose the notion of
ridicule. What you read here is just the feast of a proud father. I do
not think this is the maximum. It's just beautiful. As a volleyball
lover, I thank these players for the amazing performance they offered me. And they are not even 18. Ps: Someone identify Manel Meirinho here, which I
can not; But he deserves to read this. (I got it, later :) )
